LIVING & DININGThe large living/kitchen/dining room has French windows to the terrace and onto the main entrance. The living room has a corner double sofa bed and coffee table, 2 armchairs and 2 stools, around the built-in fireplace and DVD player and TV with UK Freesat box (showing programmes in English). The fully equipped modern kitchen has a breakfast bar, a full range of dishes, glasses and cooking utensils, with full fridge/freezer oven, microwave and hob and extractor, dishwasher, kettle, electric toaster, sodastream and Senseo coffee maker. The dining table seats 6 people. A high chair is available on request.

SLEEPING
SLEEPINGOn the ground floor: the bedroom has a 160x200 bed, 2 bedside tables, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a French window opening onto the terrace.
Upstairs: a bedroom with 2 90x200 beds, 2 bedside tables, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe (wardrobe/mirror.), a toilet with a sink, a small adjoining laundry room with a washing machine, a window with a view of the village.

BATHROOMS
The bathroom/wc on the ground floor is equipped with a washbasin - shower cubicle - bathtub - wc, a wall-mounted towel dryer and a hair dryer.

OUTDOOR SPACE
OUTDOOR SPACEFrench windows open onto a large paved terrace, facing south and partly covered, with garden furniture for 6 people, 4 sunbeds, a large parasol and a fixed barbecue.
Hortensia has a parking space next to the main entrance and additional parking for visitors at the back of the site. The grounds of the gites are well maintained with hedges separating each property and lots of shrubs and trees.

HIGHLIGHTS
HIGHLIGHTS- Heating: Reversible air conditioning for the winter, heating panels and a built-in wood stove make this cottage an excellent one for the whole year. The hot water tank heats up overnight.

Born and raised in Sarlat in the Périgord Noir, we acquired Hortensia in 2016, and we do not regret this whim... confirmed by the quality and diversity of the guests we receive from all walks of life.
Classified Gîtes de France: 3 stars, as well as Meublé de France in Périgord: 3 stars.

Amazing location and very comfortable accommodation with spectacular views of the valley. Ideal starting point to explore the area or simply relax on its patio or by the excellent swimming pool.

Anemone
Anemone is the gite closest to the pool. So if you feel like a fresh morning swim or to cool off in the evening, you are in the right gite. Our lovely terrace, with a built-in barbecue, has a stunning view over the village and castle.
Begonia
Located at the front of the site Begonia has stunning views over the village and castle from its large terrace. The Gite offers spacious accommodation over two floors for up to six people plus small child or baby.
Cyclamen
Cyclamen has a view across the valley to the village and chateau from its large paved terrace. An additional grassed area with trees provides welcome shade in the summer months. The gite has spacious accommodation over two floors for up to six people plus a small child or baby. The first floor has air conditioning.
Dahlia
Dahlia has been significantly modernised and improved over the past 12 years. Located in the middle of the site it has an L shaped decked terrace. The Gite offers spacious modern accommodation over two floors for up to six people plus a small child and baby.
Eglantine
Eglantine is a cozy, modern gite located in the middle of the site with a beautiful view at the 12th century castle of Carlux. Our gite offers spacious accommodation over two floors for up to six people plus a small child or baby. So if you are looking for a well-equipped, lovely gite to spend time with your family or friends, you are more than welcome to stay with us.
Fuchsia
Located in the middle of the site, Fuchsia offers spacious accommodation over two levels, sleeping up to four people. It has a sunny terrace overlooking the valley, through the trees. This cottage is ideal for a couple or a small family.
Giroflee (not available in 2024)
Giroflee (Wallflower) has been improved and maintained to a high standard and is a much loved and frequently used holiday home. Located at the front of the site it has stunning views over the village and castle.
Iris
Located in front of the site, Iris has a spectacular view of the valley from its large, secluded terrace. The gite offers spacious accommodation over two floors for up to five people plus a small child or baby.
Jasmine
Located at the back of the site and next to the forest, Jasmine has a large, secluded terrace. The gite offers you privacy and spacious accommodation over two floors for up to six people.
La Tour
Located at the front of the site La Tour (The tower) has a spectacular view over the valley from its large elevated terrace. Its ideal for a couple and has a large upper floor bedroom with a double bed. La Tour is a detached Gite set to the side of the site.
Magnolia
Located adjacent to the woodland to the west of the site, Magnolia is situated slightly away from other gites. Whilst still only a stone’s throw from the pool and children’s play areas, Magnolia is ideal for families who prefer a quieter area.
